In the Age of Dawn, Ayumik was the lord of all weather. He was a huge reptilian being, a heavy, feather-crested serpent with huge, colorful and shimmering feathered wings. He was majestic and his presence commanded respect. But he did not let his imposing presence go to his head. Instead he used it to teach mortals the values of silence, of listening to the world around them, though this was a time when most mortals were in tune with the fresh natural world around them.
The cataclysm caused him to split into four gods representing the winds and directions of the world, and inheriting aspects of himself.
He lives on in Kaasha, Yantuan, Sphirki, and Tyulok as a deep well of memories and an almost separately sentient telepathic bond.
